The Statue of Unity is the world’s tallest statue, standing proudly on the banks of the Narmada River in Gujarat. It is dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who played a key role in uniting India after independence.
Rising to a height of 182 meters, the statue symbolizes national unity, strength, and leadership. It is built with a strong steel framework and covered with bronze panels, giving it a grand and lifelike appearance. The statue shows Sardar Patel in a walking posture, representing determination and progress.
Statue of Unity Itinerary
Day 01: Ahmedabad - Dwarka (450kms/09hrs)
- Pickup from airport or railway station in Ahmedabad
- Drive towards Dwarka via Jamnagar
- Visit: Lakhota Lake, Lakhota Museum, Bala Hanuman Temple (famous for continuous Ram dhun chanting)
- Continue to Dwarka
- If time permits, attend evening aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple
- Overnight stay in Dwarka
Tip: Start early (6–7 AM) because it’s a long drive.
Day2: Dwarka Local Sightseeing
- Morning:vHoly dip in the Gomti River
- Must Visit: Nageshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, Gopi Talav,Boat ride to Bet Dwarka
- Return route: Rukmini Devi Temple
- Evening: Beach and lighthouse visit
- Evening aarti at Dwarkadhish Temple
- Overnight in Dwarka.
Day 3: Dwarka - Porbandar - Somnath (225kms/05hrs)
- Start Early for Somnath, Stop at Porbandar:
- Visit - Kirti Mandir – birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi, Sudama Temple
- Then proceed to Somnath. Visit: Bhalka Tirth, Triveni Sangam, Geeta Mandir
- Evening: Aarti at Somnath Temple
- Light & sound show at temple complex
- Overnight stay in Somnath.
Day 4: Somnath - Sasangir (45kms/02hrs)
- Morning, Drive to Sasan Gir.
- Activities: Safari in Gir National Park, Spot the rare Asiatic Lion 🦁
- Evening: Traditional Gujarati dinner
- Overnight in Gir
- Tip: Safari permits should be booked in advance.
Day 5: Sasangir - Ahmedabad (375kms/07hrs)
- Start Early, proceed to Ahmedabad.
- On the way visit Junagadh: Uparkot Fort, Navlakha Palace
- Continue to Ahmedabad.
- Upon Arrival, Check in at the hotel, Overnight stay.
Day 6: Ahmedabad – Statue of Unity (200kms/3.5hrs)
- Drive to Statue of Unity (world’s tallest statue – 182 m of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel).
- Visit: Exhibition & Audio Visual Gallery, Valley of Flowers, Sardar Sarovar Dam viewpoint
- Evening: Light & sound show, Glow Garden
- Overnight near Statue of Unity.
Day 7: Statue of unity – Ahmedabad Drop at Airport or Railway stations (200kms/03hrs)
- Returnn back to Ahmedabad
- Visit: Sabarmati Ashram, Kankaria Lake, Sidi Saiyyed Mosque, Adalaj , StepwellAkshardham Temple (As per time)
- Then drop at airport or railway station.
